If you want to use the IAR tools with this board, then start with an existing IAR demo project and re-target it at the specific eb40 hardware. See the thread: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1385992&forum_id=382005 for instructions on how to re-target a port (although in this particular case it is to the Keil tools).
